Ludmilla Mercier (b. 1997) is a Swiss-based performer, composer, and installation artist. Her work sits at the intersection of music theatre, visual effects, movement, and multimedia, and often includes projections, samplers, electronic effects, and personally crafted objects. She frequently collaborates with other artists, including dancers, choreographers, sound artists, mathematicians, comedians, and philosophers.

She is an artist in residence at the Gare du Nord Basel for 2026–2027 and was selected by Music Theatre Now for the Creators Connection Programme for 2025–2026.

She has received several awards, including the 1st prize at Concours OSEZ! 2025 for INUK (co-created with Quatuor MOMO), 2nd prize at the NICATI Competition for New Music 2023, 1st prize at the FrauMünsterhof21 Competition 2021, the Open Call MusikfestivalBern 2021, the prize of l’Heure Bleue Festival 2020, and 1st prize at the Swiss Music Competition for Youth Musicians 2017.

She obtained the scholarship of Nicati-De-Luze and was supported by them for the year 2021–2022.

Ludmilla studied with Natasa Maric, Arturo Coralles, and Sara Boesch in Geneva Conservatory. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Classical Flute Music from the University of the Arts Bern (2017–2019) with Prof. Christian Stüdler, and her Master’s degree in Composition with first-class honors from main teacher Leopold Dick and Simon Steen-Andersen at the University of the Arts in Berne, and from Prof. Daniel Ott at the University of the Arts Berlin in 2023.

Since then, she has developed numerous creations and collaborations produced across Switzerland and Europe.
